Retreat-English Countryside 09/04/2009

Because everyone needs time out...

At long last  -  a retreat designed to provide you with a chance to experience stillness and rejuvenation whilst enjoying the ancient practices of Yoga, Chi Kung and Meditation. Please join us for this weekend retreat in the English countryside.

Yoga...     reawaken the health of your body, feel more supple, rejuvenated and strong...

Chi Kung...     discover how you can use chi to look and feel younger, how to warm or cool your body temperature, experience sleeping like a baby at night and find deep peace inside...

Meditation...     feel centred in your being and stillness in your mind. Then joy can naturally bubble up from within...

When?

For arrivals on Friday 17th April 2009, the retreat opens from 4pm. Supper is at 6.30pm. The first group session is the Welcoming Session at 8pm.

You may also arrive at the retreat on Saturday morning. The last retreat session ends at 5pm Sunday 19th April.

Where?

We've chosen Gaunts House in Dorset - an experienced retreat style venue with a friendly ambience and positive energy. With over 2000 acres of countryside grounds and only 20 minutes drive from the seaside, this 18th century mansion has large comfortable rooms, log fires and windows overlooking the sweeping grounds.

What will we be doing?

Chi Kung... A powerful way of combining movement and breath to strengthen the body, feel energised, regain inner peace and clarity of mind.  Learn how to use the Fire Element to heat your body, the Water to cool and calm, the Air to clear the mind, the Earth to feel grounded and safe and the Ether to experience spiritual connection.

Meditation... become connected with your own infinite wisdom, freedom and peace by using the power of your mind. You will be guided on transformative inner journeys to the divine space within, bringing a sense of deep inner stillness and spaciousness of mind. Experience the power of Pranayama breathing how to tap into the energy centres within your body that govern your health and well being.

Yoga... All levels of yoga experience will be catered for, so just come as you are with the willingness to try new things. There will be a morning yoga session for those of you wanting to start your day in an energetic way and a second session later in the day for restorative yoga. We will also take time to cover some postures in depth with individual attention to transform your practice.

...and plenty of time for fun, personal quiet time, walking in nature, laughter, mingling and bonus treats!

All sessions are optional, so you can tailor make the weekend to suit your needs. Whether you are a beginner or experienced in yoga, the sessions will cater for your needs and help you to go deeper into your personal practice, from whatever point you are starting from. If you are wanting a gentle weekend you may prefer to miss the Dynamic Yoga on Sunday morning and have a restorative lay in instead! The Chi Kung and Meditation sessions are powerful and healing for all ages and abilities.
