Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions as detailed hereunder are subject without notice to change by Events and Friends and immediately effective. By acceptance of membership you are in agreement with and accept the terms and conditions.

1. Registration and Subscription

1. Registration with Events and Friends is FREE until such time without notice registration being withdrawn for whatever reason deemed necessary and appropriate at the time by Events and Friends.

2. As a Full Member of Events & Friends you agree to make payment as specified according to the level of membership that is required appertaining to the monthly Membership Fee so chosen, which provides unlimited access to the website and the applicable designated services provided with such grade of membership, inclusive of the following

• Access to our exclusive members directory
• The facility to Create your own social network online!
• The ability to Make contact with other members
• Find out who might be interested in you
• Invite your friends to events that you are attending
• See who attends which event
• Invitations to all our social events
• Invitations to all our active sporting events
• Provision to Add events to your personal calendar
• A complimentary invitation to Bring a guest to 3 of our events
• Benefit from discounts to our events and receive special offers from our many affiliate partners

Use of the Website

1. It is agreed that you solely use the Website for the purpose of meeting likeminded people with the intention of forming friends.

2. That you undertake to comply with all the laws of England and do not attempt to commit any unlawful act by anyway whatsoever by using this website as a medium of communication or advertisement for such illegal acts. Any unlawful act will be reported to the respective authorities, and Events and Friends will not be liable for such acts by a third party whatsoever.

3. In the event that Events and Friends, using sole discretion, considers that you are making any illegal and/or unauthorised use of the Website including, without limitation, collecting usernames and/or email addresses of Users by electronic or other means for the purposes of sending unsolicited email, or unauthorized framing of or linking to the Website, Events and Friends reserves the right to advise the appropriate authorities.

4. You must provide accurate information in respect of your name and address. In the event that Event and Friends have reason to suspect that you have provided such false information, we reserve the right to terminate your Use of the Website. A refund of membership fees will not be provided.

5. In the event that Events and Friends denies you access to the Website on a permanent or temporary basis for any reason, you shall be notified in writing and must then not attempt to use the Website under any other name or through any other User.

6. Events and Friends will operate the Website with the reasonable skill and care of an online service provider.

7. Events and Friends use reasonable endeavors to maintain the operation of the Website, however it may be necessary to temporarily suspend the Website for operational reasons, including but not limited to repairs, planed maintenance or upgrades. We will use reasonable endeavors to restore the Website as soon as possible after any suspension. Events and Friends shall not be liable to you for any such suspension.

8. Events and Friends reserve the right to update and make changes to the Website from time to time, provided that such changes have no material adverse effect on the quality of the service provided to Users.

Membership

(a) Registration with Events & Friends is free.

(b) To make full use of the services available through Events and Friends, applicable Membership charges apply. Such membership fee is inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time. Payment shall not be deemed to have been made nor membership accepted until Events and Friends have received cleared funds in respect of the full amount outstanding.

Subject to any special terms agreed, the Member shall pay Events and Friends the Membership Fee for full membership status.

Cancellation and Renewal Policy

(1) Membership Fees are non-refundable. Cancellation and/or termination of membership for any reason does not entitle the Member to any refund.

(b) Events and Friends operate a Continuous Service Agreement for our Membership Fees. This means that Events and Friends automatically renew your membership when it is due to expire , unless one months notice is provided prior to the expiry date of membership by the member to be notified by way of email or recorded delivery letter to terminate such membership. Continuous service rates apply to standing order and credit/debit card payments only and are applicable both if you join as a member online or we manually process your card details. All amounts are billed in UK sterling at the beginning of each renewal period, unless a cancellation notice is received, as above stipulated.

Membership will be automatically extended for successive renewal periods of the same duration at the same subscription membership rate originally selected.

To change or resign your subscription at any time, please see section titled ‘Termination’ below. If you cancel your membership, you'll enjoy membership benefits until the end of your then-current subscription term; your subscription won't be renewed after that term expires. However, you won't be eligible for a full refund of any portion of the subscription fees paid.

Full Membership

If you decide to become a full Member of Events & Friends, membership fees are as follows:

Event Charges

(a) There may also be additional charges for specific events and services which a Member wishes to attend. When booking a social event you must pay the full amount for that event on via the internet, over the phone, or in person in cash prior to the date of the event. Alternatively if we have your verbal authority to deduct payment from your credit/debit card over the phone it is understood that you have accepted our terms and conditions The Terms and Conditions together with the general information provided on the Website for each individual event is the basis of your contract for each event. This particular contract will come into existence when we dispatch a confirmation receipt.

(b) You are responsible for ensuring that you are at the correct departure point / venue at the correct time (if applicable), as we cannot be liable for any loss or expense suffered by members because of their late arrival at any event. It is your responsibility to ensure that you adhere to all itinerary instructions provided by Events and Friends and follow any instructions given regarding the event. The instructions for the events will be posted on the Website, and e-mailed to those who have indicated in that type of event.

© Events and Friends do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, or loss suffered at any event so organized and attended by a member.

(c) It is possible that circumstances may force us to make changes to the events for uncontrollable reasons such as, unforeseeable weather conditions.

Event cancellation

After work drinks parties & wine tasting:
5 working days or less prior to an event - no refund
6-10 working days prior to an event - 50% refund

Dinner parties:
7 days prior to an event no refund.

Ticketed events:
14 days prior to the event - no refund.
If you have to cancel due to circumstances beyond your control we will endeavor to sell your ticket to another member, however this can never be guaranteed.

a) If you do not accept the terms and conditions do not proceed further. This is a legal agreement between you and Event and Friends. Please read the Agreement carefully before registering or booking to attend event/s through Events and Friends.

b) By registering or booking with Events and Friends you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement (the "Terms"). If you disagree with these terms, please do not register or book to attend events organised by Events and Friends.
